The SAVE International Certification Program
The highest level of the certification program is the Certified Value Specialist (CVS), which recognizes an individual who has met all certification requirements, maintains those skills and keeps abreast of the continuing growth of value technology. To achieve this distinction, an individual must participate in a specified education program, pass a comprehensive examination and provide documented evidence of an achieved skill level.

The Certified Value Specialist (CVS) designation is for recognition of the individual whose principal career is VM. The Associate Value Specialist (AVS) designation recognizes individuals who have decided to become professional value engineers but have not yet acquired all the education, experience or technical skills expected of a CVS. The Value Methodology Practitioner (VMP) designation recognizes individuals who have acquired the basic skills and education of VM but do not use those skills within their primary career. Earning the CVS, AVS or VMP title opens the door to a wealth of professional opportunities. Contact the SAVE office at (937) 224-7283 for more specific information on SAVE certification.
